Sitting in bed with a blanket, paper & pen

Some say I’m not like other men

My room is small & known as the cave

From time to time we like to party & rave.

Some inspiring books are piled at the side

Things are open not much to hide

Carpets are dirty & walls need some paint

If I’d had seen this coming Im sure to faint.

The book I write in has no idea

Of what will be written in the front or rear

The pen doesn’t know about what it writes

But together we’re making art just one of our rites.

Work bags, oils, creams & coats on the door

Those things are around part of the core

A watch & some beads giving a vibe

A room of stillness or a gentle jive.

A chair in the corner with its box & things

Kind of strange I have no rings

No rings no lover or lady friends

Whether that’s good or bad well it all depends.

A kettle bell & jar of coins

it's kind of low, ouch that hurts my loins

a single rollup mattress with a mirror on the wall

the ceilings are high that helps if you’re tall.

The cave is in a place known now as Panther Palace

A rebuild family home, I may get a yaris

A chrome dimmer switch with a full length cupboard

reminds me of the wonderful old Mrs Hubbard.

3 very different cats roam around these parts

Where television shows & the music starts

Friendly neighborhood with handstand park just up the road

The cats came in with a frog or was it a toad.
