What to do when things aren’t working out

You keep a lot quitter and whisper don’t shout

You touch anything and it breaks in your hand

You feel like you’re sinking in the desert sand.

Friends back away some break their word

You don’t feel free like the bees and bird

Instead you feel sad anxious and a little ashamed

Your name my friend can be easily defamed.

Being yourself in good days and bad

This isn’t a fashion or a passing fad

We’re all so complex made up of different layers

The fool the wise and the weak mixed in with the dragon slayers.

We must be the same in both light and dark

Playing our games in the street and park

Some sides of us all can look pretty good

We're all whole beings wherever we’re stood.

A hot sunny day and fire engines race by

In the years to come I’d imagine they’ll fly

Maybe it’s not too late and we'll find our way

If you’re longing for change you could make it today.

Blue skies and clouds floating in Heaven above

Life’s knocking us around with her boxing glove

She’s not easy nor a prize to be won

Learning to dance with her sure seems like fun.

Maybe it’s time to change your tone or perspective

Take a deeper look and become a little more reflective

The world’s an open place and gives you some freedom of choice

Still it’s good to be quiet and rest your mind and voice.

People in the café sit and talk

Some looking at phones others eating with a knife and fork

Control what you can and start from there

Girls in summer outfits and yes we know they care.
