Now 24 - Times like this.

I’m going to write & let it all out
The pressures built up what’s this about
Life’s not easy who said it is
Especially during Kali Yuga & times like this.
War in the world & the climates getting hot
Do you remember who you are or have you simply forgot
Mental illness, global displacement, floods & fires
Less animals & greenery but more cars & tyres.
What was once woodland with trees & wildlife
Has been cut down by man wielding his axe & knife
The sea’s full of rubbish killing the fish
Cow & chicken are sadly known only as a daily dish.
People argue over politics, beliefs, colour & race
The rich man’s thinking to go & live in outer space
Blindly we go on throwing our litter in the street
Fighting each other as we slowly overheat.
Water levels rising & moving in strange ways
The Christians say these are the final days
Yoga agrees the circles coming back to the start
But life’s still in us let us not totally lose heart.
Is it just me or does the world seem messed up & getting worse
It could be a natural dynamic, a blessing or curse
But the good news is we still have choice
All be limited but we've been given a voice.
In a spiritual battle which side are you on
Can you still celebrate with life & dance along
When all around is dark can you shine a light
& bring some peace instead of joining a fight.
The end of one cycle’s the beginning of the next
Back to basics but with less people to text
We’re in a flow & there seems to be no getting out
Remember silence & stillness are your friends in this there is no doubt.
