Sitting on the platform waiting for a train

Sky is blue there’s little hint of rain

A wooden bench with bright orange rails

Sure this place has heard so many tales.

It’s a warm day & I’m slightly sweaty

Still miss my grand-parents Reg & Betty

They were so great to me & my little bro

Gave us a good start & set us up to grow.

So at that time our folks are getting old

They need to stay warm & not get cold

Pop in & see them when you can

& do some of their errands clean the pots & pan.

Keep peddling that wheel there’s work to be done

Whilst spinning the plates you have to keep it fun

Meditation & prayer will make life better

They’ll teach you to be a giver as well as a getter.

Poems & rhymes are good for your head

Clear it all out before going to bed

Trying to make life simpler all the time

& looking for new ways to make a dime.

Door designer, yogi & a family man

Give a good vibe whenever you can

Awareness over thoughts is how the story goes

Are you still flexible enough to touch your toes?

Taking control of your thoughts & beliefs

Is a super effective formula for quick reliefs

Stick with what is & what’s really here

& make sure that faith’s always bigger than fear.

Whoever you are I hope you’re keeping well

& enjoyed this poem I like to tell

A chance to say hi & hopefully give you something good

The rhymes not great but I did the best I could.
