G’day Jonny Boy & happy birthday to you
Sunny day with a few things to do
Starting off with breakie in nearby Queens Park
& hopefully see the kids later once it’s dark.
Feeling reflective after 20,000 plus days
Still looking for a fun & meaningful occupation that pays
Taking stock of where I am right now
We arrived in this space no matter how.
So here we are with life in our hands
Creative music streaming from artists and bands
Resetting the sails to catch the breeze
Just keep dancing you’re never be stuck or freeze.
The bottom line is I feel grateful & blessed
Despite my shortcomings & sometimes being a pest
That’s how it is an interdependent non-perfect human being
Most of us are that way, clarity comes from seeing.
Mindful in the present trying to respond well
Loads to still learn with a few stories to tell
Wonder how many birthdays are yet still to come
Nobody knows the future that’s the rule of thumb.
It’s down to me to make life great
To paint a pretty picture on this fresh clean slate
Realize more of who you are
Keep playing the game where you're going's not too far.
Everyone out there contributes to make life as she is
Bringing their uniqueness either hers or his
We all play our part to make the world go round
And after years of searching I wonder what you’ve found.
We’re all very similar yet different parts of the whole
Our truest identity is our deep-down soul
Society sees and measures us in terms of prestige, power and money
That’s clearly destructive & not that funny.
