I’m going to write a poem of course I am

In a Thai restaurant no where near Vietnam

About to make some changes & start responding a new way

Been developing for a while it’ll soon be the day.

Enough of dodgy jobs & being pushed around

Time to better align so at last I’ve found

Focus & concentrate until you find a new path

Wash off old ways then get out of your bath.

So many people seem to create great lives

Why not us go get the knives

We'll cut off or remove all of the blocks

& keep a far distance from where the masses flocks.

We clearly need to free ourselves from many things

& try to be at peace whatever life brings

Anxiety & fear aren’t welcome in this place

We have the right to be happy whatever our race.

It’s not that I’m jealous I just wonder how

In this restaurant I see Buddha & feel to bow

Just by seeing Him I feel calmer inside

More connected with what is life really is a ride.

Water on the table & dirty plates

Careful what you let in through your doors & gates

Cars pass by & people chatter

Ease up a little do so many things really matter?

The restaurant here is in London NW10

It's been fun writing this poem with paper & pen

The walls are turquoise blue & the lights are bright

Life can be a battle sometimes you have to stand & fight.

Just about to pay & be on my way

Blessed for such a great meal I really have to say

Its been an emotional week pleased to have written a rhyme

a constructive & enjoyable way to invest my time.

Tong Ka Nom Thai, 833 Harrow Road, Kensal Green, London NW10 5NH
