So many doors but which one’s yours
Now listen closely as the lion roars
The door must look good & feel just right
Could be a dull color but it’s usually better bright.
Opening & closing smoothly with ease
Shiny glittery objects no longer please
& keeping out draught & the water too
How do you know the door will be pleasing to you.
Remember your door must match the house
It’s in the cats nature to catch the mouse
Security too is an important issue
& cleaning your entrance will take much more than tissue.
Be aware of who you let in & what goes out
There’s a lot of destructive energy roaming about
You’re the door person & it’s down to you
The house’s seen by everyone you could paint it blue.
Enter or exit at your will
Be ready for change as you cross the sill
Do you want glass in your new front door
To lighten the space between ceiling & floor.
This way’s in & the other’s out
You don’t need a ticket from a side-line tout
You’re free to come & go as you wish
Invite your friend & cook their favorite dish.
Wide enough to let in big things
& amply tall with a bell that rings
Some doors look great & others poor
You’re not the same as you were before.
Every doorway is really a chance
You could cross the channel & go visit France
The doors & choices that we chose
freedom has consequences try not to abuse.
